Yes, it's the one where I make my predictions for the forthcoming season, but on past form, I can say that we tend to get more right than wrong, and that if your team disagree with me, then please get out on the fields and prove me wrong.

Let's start with Division One, at the top Fishpool A will once again be the team to beat, but I feel sure that both Ainsworth A and Ramsbottom Ladies will start the season with the belief that this could be the year for them to come out on top.

I also fancy we will have a three way scrap at the foot of the table.

No disrespect to either St Mary's B or Wellington, but newcomers to the top division tend to find things difficult during their first season at this level. Elton Vale B, who narrowly escaped the drop last term, will once again find things difficult, particularly as they have lost a couple of their regular first team players.

On to Division Two, here I am finding it difficult to pick a favourite, though both Brocks XI A and Bury Felt A, relegated from the top flight last year, have the necessary experience to win a promotion straight back again.

Bury East A are a side welcoming back new mothers' into the side, and along with Brocks XI B and Swan Ladies A have now played at this level for a while and perhaps it's time for them to mount a serious challenge to get into the top flight.

The experienced Warth A and Bury West usually win more games than they lose, that leaves us with the three promoted sides from last year's Division Three, of these I feel that All Saints A are the most likely to survive, but Walshaw Ladies and Limefield could well prove me wrong.

In Division Three, Warth (B) would be my pick providing that they can manage to field eleven players on a regular basis, something which they found difficult on occasions last year.

There are several teams more than capable of mounting a challenge for this division, Redvales Derby A, Kings XI, Fishpool B, E.T.F. and St Mary's C could all feature in the final outcome.

M.S.S. and Bury East B, will do well to consolidate this time after last year's promotion, these two along with Bury Felt B and Tottington A could find themselves in the bottom four positions, but in what order?

My feelings for Division Four are that experience will win the day. I think that Tottington B and Ainsworth B should have enough to hold off the rest, though the main challengers could come in the shape of two younger sides.

Radcliffe Boro and Tottington C have both moved quickly through the divisions to this point, from the other six I am loathe to pick out relegation candidates, as all are capable of putting on some fine performances, but doing so on a consistent basis will be the key to their survival.

In Division Five, two newcomers in the shape of newly promoted Tile Base Ladies and Elton Vale D, could well prove good enough to march straight through this division.

I, like many others believe that Bury Sports are more than capable of winning this division, but they do have a habit of tailing off towards the end of each season.

Walmersley Ladies are a further very capable side who only need to improve their consistency to be there or thereabouts at the end.

Manchester Maccabi and Burns Bowlers, both promoted to fill gaps last term, may just find this a division too far', but yet again it is up to you to make me eat my words.

Division Six looks as if it may be the hardest one of all to predict this year, but sticking my neck out I will say that the experience of St Annes should stand them in good stead, while the youthful energy of Redvales Derby B could see them gain a second successive promotion.

As to regulation issues, the newly formed Radcliffe JFC may have a hard first season, whilst Sundial Ladies have jumped about from six to seven on so many occasions that Yo-Yo biscuits have offered them a new sponsorship deal!

Into Division Seven, Nuttall Ladies must be amongst the favourites, but one of the newcomers, Fairfield Ladies, do have several seasoned players amongst the division's younger sides.

In closing I would like to wish everyone a successful season, let's hope we see plenty of warm sun-drenched evenings, though something tells me we may have to wait a few weeks before we see any such nights!
