Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has won a prestigious health and safety honour from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
The brigade won the "commendation in the public service and local government sector" award for its commitment to achieving the highest standard in health and safety performance.
The award will be presented during a special ceremony later next month.
