LOVERS of Burrs Country Park are needed to step forward and help take care of the open space they cherish.
Park users are invited to the launch of the Friends of Burrs group on Wednesday at Burrs Activity Centre.
Members would have the option of helping the councils countryside team in carrying out practical conservation, or take a less hands-on job. A calendar of social evenings and working events is also on the agenda.
Wednesday's open evening starts at 7.30pm with refreshments, followed by a short presentation and an informal short walk showing site management practices and potential activities for volunteers.
