YOUNG army cadets in Ramsbottom have been recognised for their hard work.
A special presentation evening was held to honour cadets in the Ramsbottom detachment who had received promotion in the ranks or completed commendable duties.
The ceremony was held in the Drill Hall, Ramsbottom, and was attended by Bury mayor Coun Barry Briggs and proud parents.
Detachment Commander, Second Lieutenant Lee Kennerley said: "The cadets have worked hard. Those who have been promoted in the Army ranks have had to show leadership skills.
"Other cadets were recognised for other duties, such as helping with the poppy appeal. There was an overall presentation by the mayor recognising the hard work done by all cadets."
Cadets who received promotion within the ranks included Cadet Amy Yates to Acting Lance Corporal and Cadet Andrew Cheetham to Corporal Sergeant.
