WE have reported in detail the tragic events surrounding the death of Joshua Massey Hodgkinson at the home of his childminder last year.
And every parent must have shuddered when they read how childminder Wendy Barlow admitted manslaughter and drunkenly allowing the toddler into her bath where he slipped and drowned.
They will also have asked, like Joshua's family, why a woman with self-confessed drink problems was able to continue in such a responsible role and why the regulating body had not made the terms of her registration clearer.
Joshua's parents should have known this childminder was not approved to look after youngsters overnight.
Today with his family's backing we launch the Justice for Joshua campaign.
And we need your help for it to succeed.
We want to put pressure on the government and Ofsted so they act clearly to ensure regulation and training of childminders is improved and better information is provided for parents.
Parents need - and deserve - to know exactly what a childminder is registered and qualified to do and also what they are not approved to do.
With your backing Justice for Joshua will restore peace of mind so that mums and dads know where they stand.
And we hope our campaign will reduce the risk of any other child meeting such an awful end.
