IT is arrogant of council leader John Byrne, in his reported comments regarding increased car parking charges (Bury Times, April 1) to tell us how we should get about.
He talks about greater use of public transport, or cycling and walking instead of using cars so much. Has anyone ever seen Coun Byrne on a bus? And which cycling club or ramblers group is he a member of?
