A MAN, believed to be in his 20s, is fighting for his life in hospital following reports of a street fight.
Police were called to Stout Street in Leigh at around 11.20pm on Monday following reports of two men fighting the street.
A man in his 20s was taken to Wigan Royal Hospital suffering from serious head and facial injuries.
He was later transferred to Hope Hospital in Salford where he is in a critical condition.
The 25-year-old man was being question by police after being arrested on suspicion of assault with intent.
