A NEW estate agency name has moved into East Lancashire.

Bairstow Eves has merged with Bridgfords and another within the Countrywide group.

The offices are now to operate under the Bridgfords name and have all been rebranded, including the Blackburn branch at Sudell Cross.

The staff and business procedures will remain the same under the Countrywide banner but a new look office and distinctive for sale board now reflect the change.

Bridgfords was first established in 1832 and is built up its business throughout the north west, and the Manchester region in particular.

Blackburn manager, Sue Wolstenholme, said: “This move will give vendors of properties on our register the benefit of a far larger market place, reaching buyers across a 57 branch network in the Bridgfords subsidiary alone.

“The company will also offer a larger amount of press advertising and promotion to highlight our homes for sale even more during the coming year.

“I welcome this new, refreshed look we have been given and am sure it will help us offer an unrivalled package.  “I have worked in the town in estate agency for more than a decade and have seen many local customers return time and time again.

"As a national company we encompass changes in the market  extremely well and are  particularly proactive in selling.

“I encourage anybody would like to receive up to date advice to give me a call and I can discuss how we differ."
