AN empty Darwen pub could be transformed into a hair and beauty salon.
The Brookside Hotel, in Duckworth Street, Darwen, was well known for its poker nights before it shut 18 months ago.
Mark Sears of Sunnyhurst Lane, Darwen, has asked the borough council for permission to demolish the rear extension and construct new extensions to the side and rear.
Councillors will make a decision in coming weeks.
