A BLACKBURN man grimaced through the pain as he surrendered to a full body waxing session to raise money for a cancer charity.
Daniel Almond, was cheered on by family and friends, as hot wax ripped the hair from his backs, chests, legs, arms and eyebrows on Saturday.
The 21-year-old, of Whitebirk Road endured the painful hour and a half procedure at the town centre Alan Rene Hair and Beauty salon, to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.
He said the charity was close to his heart as his grandfather, Lawrence Greenbank, died of bowel cancer two years ago, aged 64.
The production operator at Pets Choice in Green Bank Mill, said: “It was quite painful but it was worth it because it’s for a good cause.
“I hope the money I raise will go towards finding a cure for cancer and help to buy equipment so that more patients can receive the care they deserve.”
