AN ELDERLY woman was targeted by “despicable” distraction burglars at her Blackburn home.
The 77-year-old was described as “very shaken” after two men entered her house in Leamington Road, Revidge, at 4pm on Tuesday, saying they had noticed damage to her wall.
They made a brief search of the property, before stealing her purse, containing a small amount of cash.
The two men are both white and said to be aged between 40 and 50.
One is described as slim with a pale face, and the other as stocky.
Inspector Graham Ashcroft said: “This is a despicable crime against a vulnerable old lady.”
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 01254 51212.
