A LEADING councillor in Pendle has thanked residents for their messages of support following a kidney operation.
Coun Mohammed Iqbal, Labour group leader for Pendle, is recovering at home after the operation at Royal Blackburn Hospital last week.
He said: “I want to thank those people who have sent messages and visited me in hospital over the last few days.”
