DARWEN-based Crown Paints has appointed Darryl Senior to the role of purchasing director.
Darryl spent almost twenty years at Sigma Kalon, and prior to accepting the Crown Paints directorship, was head of logistics for Damartex, a publicly owned French manufacturer and retailer.
Darryl has a BA (Hons) Degree in Business Studies and has recently completed an MSC in Supply Chain & Logistics at Cranfield University.
He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.
Crown Paints Limited, the UK’s largest independent paint manufacturer, was subject to a management buyout backed by private equity house Endless LLP in 2008.
Prior to the buyout the UK paint manufacturing business had been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dutch conglomerate Akzo Nobel for 18 years.
