Detective Inspector Simon Brooksbank from the Serious Crime Unit addressed the October meeting of the Parish Council on recent police activity undertaken in the village which had resulted in success.
Across the North West 80 kilos of class A and B drugs had been confiscated which had a street value of £1million.
The police wish to thank residents for their helpfulness.
