DETECTIVES are investigating an incident in which an 81-year-old woman had her bag snatched outside the Leeds Road entrance to Tesco, in Nelson.
DS Stephen Holgate said: “We have experienced a number of different handbag theft offences in Nelson town centre and detectives are still working hard to identify the people responsible.”
The snatch happened at 12.35pm on Wednesday, October 14 when officers said there were a number of people in the area.
