THREE workers at Stanley House Hotel, Mellor, have been nominated for prestigious awards.
Senior chef de partie at the hotel’s Cassis restaurant Martin Hargreaves, 23, is up for Lancashire Young Chef of the Year 2009 at the Lancashire Excellence in Tourism Skills Awards.
If he wins, the former Blackburn College pupil will represent Lancashire in the North West competition.
Emma Eccleston, 26, and Sarah Shaw, 22, are also nominated in the Excellence in Customer Service and Most Outstanding Young Tourism Manager categories respectively.
Emma has worked at the hotel for three years and has 10 years’ experience in the industry.
Oliver Cooke, general manager, said: “We’re so proud of Martin, Sarah and Emma for this achievement.”
The awards are run by the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board and the regional winners will be announced on November 12.
