A BRITISH National Party activist drives around with the word “Nazi” written on the back of his car, it has been revealed.
Robin Evans, the BNP’s Blackburn organiser, said he had not tried to remove the word as he did not find it offensive.
The former councillor for Mill Hill in Blackburn, who now lives in Darwen, said he did not know who had stuck the letters on his metallic green Volkswagen Golf, but thought it was “quite funny”, adding: “It doesn’t bother me.”
Blackburn MP Jack Straw said the sticker “exposed the true colours of the BNP”.
Party leader Nick Griffin, who was recently elected as a Euro MP for the North West, advised Mr Evans to remove the term.
When asked about it by the Lancashire Telegraph, Mr Evans, who stood for the BNP at this month’s Darwen Town Council elections, said: “You know what people are like.
"Everyone calls me a Nazi. Someone put it on there 12 months ago. It was in silver letters.
“What you see there is the wreckage. I haven’t a clue who tried to take it off but I couldn’t be bothered.
“To be honest I thought it was quite funny. It’s better than them putting my windows through or smashing bottles on my head which I’ve had before.
“The car is on its last legs. I would rather be driving around in a big Porsche.
"But my car and whatever it looks like does its job and I am okay with it.”
Asked whether he found the term ‘Nazi’ offensive, Mr Evans added: “Everyone is individual.
"My personal interpretation, not the BNP’s, is that it means a nationalist, which is where the word has come from.
"If someone’s in the street screaming ‘Nazi, Nazi’, that is offensive. It is not offensive against other people.”
Mr Straw, the Justice Secretary, said: “It’s very offensive, especially to people who are Jewish, but also to virtually everyone else in society.
“This exposes the BNP’s true colours.”
Coun Tony Melia, the leader of the For Darwen Party and deputy council leader, said: “If someone put that on my car, I would have it taken down instantly. It is absolutely tasteless.”
Mr Griffin said: “I would advise him to take it off. It was obviously put there by some crank. He may be putting a brave face on it.”
Asked whether he found the term offensive, he added: “I don’t know if it’s offensive per se, you see all sorts of swastikas on news stands and history books.
"But used against us, it is highly offensive, because we believe in British values like free speech.”

The BNP deny they are Nazis or Nazi sympathisers. But one of their leading activists (and their only ever Councillor in Blackburn with Darwen) happily drives round with the word Nazi on his car. Its like denying you're having an affair when you are found naked in the woman's bed with her underneath you.

Mr Evans says that he is in fact driving a British car.
'I know there is a badge on my car saying it is a Volkswagen Golf. I just could not be bothered taking it off. Anyone suggesting that, just because my car has on it a badge saying Volkswagen Golf, the car is a Volkswagen has clearly been taken in by anti-BNP propaganda.'

Lord Tosspot Clarke stuck his unwanted greedy snout in after the riots & one of his recommendations was to condemn the BNP at every opportunity ,whilst watering down reports of crimes where asians were the culprits.
He then p*ssed off back to his Ivory Tower.

I'm more concerned by the extremists who were blatantly allowed to demonstrate in the capital, holding plackards regarding death to all non believers... There were no egg throwing students and the mass media didn't really seem to want to confront the organisers of said demonstration. So the people, like the students, demonstrators, clergy in the cathedral and the mass media only choose to take part in fights they aren't afraid of losing or getting hurt in? That doesn't seem very British at all.

(1) Instead of (as ever) attempting to smear the BNP shouldn't the Lancashire Telegraph be condemning the criminals who damaged Mr Evan's car? He is, after all, the victim of a crime!
(2) Shouldn't the Lancashire Telegraph be reminding readers of Jack Straw's former membership of the Communist Party and questioning his reluctance to appologise for the thieving antics of both Labour politicians and the party itself? Why the willingness to associate the BNP with Nazism and the reluctance to reming readers of Labour's communist links?
(3) Instead of attempting to pass itself off as a "local paper" shouldn't the foreign-owned Lancashire Telegraph have the Stars & Stripes on its masthead to indicate who owns and controls it? Put another way, the foreign-owned Lancashire Telegraph is about as british my local MacDonalds outlet!

TWO men jailed for sexual activity with 14-year-old girls had been thrown out of the British National Party when their offences came to light, it has been revealed.
Ian Richard Hindle, 32, of Church Walk, Blackburn, and Andrew Paul Wells, 49, were jailed on Thursday for a total of five years and three months.
Preston Crown Court heard the pair had plied the girls with alcohol at Wells’ flat on Infirmary Street in Blackburn.
Both men had been BNP members up until they were arrested for the offence, said local party organiser Robin Evans.
He said: “They didn’t have any sexual offences when they became members. As soon as it was brought to our attention - as soon as they were arrested - they were both expelled.
“If it was up to the BNP they would have got a lot longer.”
Mr Evans said the pair were not involved in the running of the local party.
He added: “They just turned up to meetings. We are glad to be rid of them”.
Hindle, who pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with a child, was jailed for three years.
The court heard that when Hindle had first met the girl she had lied about her age, but that he had discovered the truth before having sex with her.
Wells, of Infirmary Street, Blackburn, who was jailed for two years and three months, had earlier pleaded guilty to two counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child and one of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
Last week the names and addresses of more than 250 East Lancashire BNP members were included in the document that was posted on the internet this week.
Nationally, there were 12,000 people on the list, including police officers, teachers and soldiers.
Mr Evans said some people he knew on the list had received threatening phonecalls.

Put that in comparison with the spate of similar things in Burnley done by the moslems and with a faith that actually follows a prophet that endorses peadophilia and a religion that marries off little girls to old men and can see no wrong in it , its sick and disgusting but as usual in this country no one in any power dare say anything.

pakimunda I think you'll find that when I lived near Audley..Newton st to be exact back in 2004, my car was a ford mondeo with a Union Jack on the bonnet.My other car a white corsa was burned along with my house and possessions.Look it up in LT archives and you'll find it was indeed a mondeo got it's windows smashed on Burnley Rd prior to Newton st. You muzzies all talk cr@? and try to get little girls into bed like mohammed.
