BLACKBURN Rovers fans will get the chance to watch the club’s last three Premier League home games for just £20.

In an unprecedented move to boost their bid for survival, Rovers are offering supporters the special discount three-game ticket package for less than the average price to watch just one match anywhere else in the top flight.

The offer follows the Lancashire Telegraph’s campaign to ‘Get behind the Rovers’ and tickets go on sale after today’s home game against Tottenham Hotspur.

It will allow fans to take advantage of the three-game package for just £20 and £10 for concessions. This entitles them to a seat in the WEC Darwen End lower tier for the remaining home matches against Portsmouth, Wigan Athletic and West Bromich Albion.

For those who might prefer to sit elsewhere in the ground, tickets for all other areas for the Wigan fixture (April 26) will be priced at £15 (adults) and £5 (concessions).

Currently the cheapest adult match day price at Ewood is £16.60 and their most expensive is £27.40.

In a further move designed to encourage groups of friends and ‘singers’ to sit together, the Darwen End Lower Tier will be ‘unreserved seating’. Away fans will be restricted to the upper tier.

Blackburn’s MP and Mayor have hailed the “Taking Back Ewood” offer and called on supporters to now do their bit in return and back the team.

Rovers officials believe the key to survival ultimately hinges on the team’s form at Ewood Park and they are urging all supporters to pull together in the club’s hour of need.

They want the ground packed with home fans for the remaining home games.

While Rovers will miss out on gate revenue thanks to the offer, Rovers chairman John Williams said relegation would cost the club the greater price of £30million.

Mr Williams said: “We want to actively encourage as many people as possible to come down to Ewood and get behind our fight to stay in the Premier League.

“We believe in the 12th man factor and our three remaining home games are going to be crucial. We want to make maximum use of home advantage.”

Ahead of this lunchtime’s visit of Tottenham, Rovers sit just one place and two points away from the relegation zone and know dropping out of the Premier League would be financially disastrous.

Rovers season ticket holder Jack Straw said the offer was a great idea. He said: "I have seen first hand the difference that the fans can make to the team and I think anything that encourages more people to go to Ewood is good.

"At the Fulham away match recently it was the enthusiasm from the Rovers supporters that really drove the team on and if we can get full houses for the last three matches it could make an impact on results."

Blackburn Mayor Mohammed Khan, a supporter who will be at the game today, also welcomed the move and said: "The players need the support and I'm sure it will create a great atmosphere to have a full house with home fans at each end.

"The fans have stuck with the team all season and we need a strong finish to make sure the side stays up.

"Supporting a football team is not always cheap but this is a great deal for fans."
