EAST Lancashire is hosting its very own charity premiere for the new James Bond film.

The glitzy red carpet event complete with after-movie party is taking place at Burnley’s Apollo Cinema when Quantum of Solace is officially released on October 31.

Nelson-based Daisy Communications has organised the fundraising evening and is calling on Bond fans to dress up for the occasion.

The event forms part of the company’s pledge to raise £20,000 before the end of December for The Prince’s Trust’s Million Makers scheme.

The award-winning firm, which provides fixed and mobile voice, data and IP, standard and specialist non-geographical numbers, is also running a lookalike competition with the winners being made-over as 007 and a Bond girl.

Fiona Ritchie, a member of Daisy’s fundraising committee, said: “As Daniel Craig will unfortunately be tied up on that night, we are looking for East Lancashire’s very own answer to James Bond and, of course, a glamorous Bond girl to accom-pany him down the red carpet.

"We are expecting the tickets to sell out fast, so we are advising anyone interested to get them now.

“While we are not making it essential, we would love people to come dressed in tuxedos, evening dresses, or even as their favourite James Bond character and really make this a night to remember.

“And for those who are looking for a complete night out, we are holding a post-film premiere party at The Mix in Burnley town centre, with a free cocktail, canapés and live Bond music.”

The Daisy’s Prince’s Trust committee has booked out a full screen for the event, on October 31.

Tickets for the cinema only cost £10 and for the cinema and after party cost £25.

Bond fans can get more information about the competition and book tickets by contacting the committee on 0845 450 4513.
