FACT FINDING: Beverley Hughes, the Minister of State for Children, Young People and Families, meets Year 7 pupils taking part in a ‘creative challenge
DARWEN Aldridge Community Academy was visited today by Beverley Hughes, Minister of State for Children, Young People and Families.
She met principal Brendan Loughran, staff and pupils at the school which opened on Monday and replaces Darwen Moorland High School.
There was no post-16 educational provision in Darwen but the academy will provide Darwen students with the opportunity to attend a sixth form in their own town.
