Gale force winds cause the gable end of a house to partially collapse in January 1976.
Bricks were torn from the property on Hancock Street, Blackburn, during a storm which sent them crashing down on to a caravan which was parked at the side of the house.
This photo shows the aftermath of the gales with half of the outer layer of bricks on the gable end stripped away and the wreckage of the caravan below.
Fortunately no-one was injured by the flying brickwork but the caravan was destroyed.
