Officers stopped a vehicle towing a trailer on the M6, after complaints the driver was using cannabis.
Following an investigation, there was found to be no cannabis use but the trailer had a number of light defects. The incident happened overnight (Tuesday).
Lancashire road police posted: “Report from a member of the public that the driver of the vehicle towing this trailer was smoking cannabis whilst driving on the M6.
“When stopped there was no cannabis use but the trailer was prohibited due to multiple light defects.”
