A Blackburn man has been jailed after being found guilty by a jury of sexual assault.
Wayne Steele, of Kensington Drive, Blackburn, was handed a five-year prison sentence after being convicted of four counts of sexual assault on a female.
The offences date back to May 2022, with Steele denying all charges brought against him and taking the matter to trial at Preston Crown Court.
However, following the trial, which took place in January, Steele was found guilty of the charges and was sentenced to five years behind bars on Friday April 26.
The 56-year-old was also handed a restraining order in respect of his victim and placed on the barring list, preventing him from working with children and young people in the future.
