A Blackburn restaurant has launched new self-service kiosks for customers.
The Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen Cllr Parwaiz Akhtar was joined by ex-Mayors Hussain Akhtar and Iftikhar Hussain at the German Doner Kebab (GDK) restaurant in Eanam for the unveiling.
The 100-seater restaurant opened in 2021 following a major renovation project at the site.
Raheem Hussain, from the restaurant, said: “It was wonderful to have not one but three mayors back at the restaurant.
“The new kiosks will allow customers to pre-order their food. We are always looking at new ways to make our service more efficient.
“We have also launched new additions to our menu and are delighted to be serving up our original doners and burgers to people across the borough.”
Cllr Parwaiz Akhtar said: “It was great to be at GDK which is one of the landmark restaurants in the town.
“The staff were really welcoming and a huge thank you to the team for hosting us.”
Cllr Hussain Akhtar was the first to try the new kiosks.
He said: "The restaurant attracts a lot of people from across the county and it is great to have it in Blackburn. I hope for the most success."
