Officers investigating allegations of blackmail, criminal damage and harassment have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.

Police said the latest incident followed a minor road traffic collision six months ago when offenders hit the back of the victim’s car.

As a result of this, the man has been subject to ongoing threats and demands for payment.

The offenders also followed the victim home and threatened him.

On Monday 16 April at 2.15pm, the victim was approached by the male (pictured) in Whalley Old Road where the offender continued to threaten him, assaulted him and caused damage to his vehicle.

The incident happened on Monday 16 April at 2.15pm.

A police spokesperson said: "We appreciate this happened some time ago, and whilst we have been making enquiries since that date, we now need to ask for your help.

"We are looking to identify the man in the CCTV still. If you recognise this man, or if you witnessed this incident in April, please call 101, quoting log 0853 of 8 April."
