The fire service spent 40 minutes extinguishing a car fire in Haslingden in the early hours of the morning (April 5).

Just after 1.50am, the fire service was called to Charles Lane.

The fire involved one vehicle that was “well alight” when fire crews arrived.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 1.53am on April 5, one fire engine from Haslingden attended a vehicle fire on Charles Lane, Haslingden.

“The incident involved one vehicle that was well alight when the crew arrived. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for 40 minutes.”
