Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly recently launched their 2024 series of Saturday Night Takeaway before the show takes a break from next year.

Already, ITV viewers have seen hilarious Ring My Bell segments, Simon Cowell getting pranked in America and plenty of Takeaway Getaways dished out.

But if you’re planning what to watch on TV tonight (March 16), you might have noticed Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway isn’t on at its usual time of 7pm.

The entertainment programme will not be on ITV1 this evening due to a schedule change.

Why is Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway not on TV tonight?

This is because coverage of a sports event will take place instead from 7.20pm.

ITV will be showing the Six Nations, as France vs England kicks off from Groupama Stadium in Lyon at 8pm.

The summary on Radio Times reads: “England took time to kick into gear in this season's competition, with laboured victories over Italy and Wales followed by a loss to Scotland, but they then upset the form book with a thrilling 23-22 victory over Ireland.

“Similarly, France made a disappointing start with just one win from their first three matches, but showed what they are capable of last time out with a 45-24 triumph in Wales.

“Jill Douglas presents, with analysis from Jonny Wilkinson, Ugo Monye and Benjamin Kayser, pitchside inserts by Topsy Ojo, Dan Biggar and Maggie Alphonsi, and commentary from Nick Mullins, Lawrence Dallaglio and Ben Kay.”

Saturday Night Takeaway is scheduled to be back on our screens on March 23 at 7pm.

Why is Gladiators not on TV tonight? BBC schedule change

However, it’s not the only popular Saturday show to be pulled this weekend as Gladiators on BBC One will also not air tonight.

This is due to the BBC showing the FA Cup match against Manchester City and Newcastle United from 5.10pm, with kick-off at 5.30pm.
