Detectives investigating the murder of Lenny Scott in Lancashire have made further arrests.

A murder investigation was launched after 33-year-old Lenny was shot outside a gym in Peel Road, Skelmersdale, on Thursday, February 8.

A 63-year-old woman was Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder following warrants carried out in the city on Tuesday morning (March 12).

She was interviewed and later bailed pending further enquiries.

Lenny’s funeral took place in Rainford on Monday (March 11).

Also arrested on Tuesday were a 34-year-old man from Liverpool who was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and money laundering. He was released under investigation.

Two other people, a 54-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, both from Liverpool, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and were later released under investigation.

Police say that while the warrant was conducted by officers investigating Lenny’s murder, the arrests are not directly related.

Four men, all from Liverpool, have previously been arrested as part of the investigation – a 34-year-old and a 25-year-old on suspicion of murder, a 37-year-old on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, and a 27-year-old for assisting an offender.

They are all on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
