A man has been ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for five years after exposing himself to a teenage girl in Chorley.
Shaun Smith, 53, of Gray Close, Wigan, admitted a charge of exposure when he appeared before magistrates last month.
He also admitted a separate section 4 public order offence and was given a community rehabilitation order.
Smith was arrest after a teenage girl reported a man had exposed himself to her on a footpath next to Fairview Drive in Adlington in December.
Det Insp Paul Mulrooney, of South CID, said: "We take offences like this extremely seriously and I would urge anyone with information about incidents like this to come forward and report them so we can take action and investigate."
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
