A town council says their returning Easter event will be “bigger and better” than their successful 2023 day.

Easter in Colne, run by Colne Town Council, is a free event which will take place on Saturday, March 30, jam-packed with family-friendly activities.

There will be an Easter market with more than 45 traders, a variety of funfair rides and an unnamed surprise special guest.

Free activities include donkey rides, face painting, crazy golf, rodeo sheep, archery, circus shows and workshops, magic, balloon modelling, and more.

There will also be free Easter goodies handed out by Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompas, performances from the Accrington Pipe Band, and an Easter egg trail.

The council’s event and facilities officer Nathan Cutler said: “Easter in Colne is always such an incredible event. The 2023 event was so bust and we cannot wait to do it all over again this year.

“It really kick starts the beginning of the warmer months ahead and we cannot wait to showcase some fantastic family friendly entertainment in Colne.

“The event will include so many brilliant free activities and performances, allowing people to come and spend a day out in Colne without having to worry too much about the costs involved.”

The event is being sponsored and supported by West Riding Hyundai, Farmhouse Biscuits Ltd, and Asda Colne.
