A cyclist in Blackburn was “shocked” to see police officers, after making illegal modifications to their bike.
On Thursday night (February 29) officers were patrolling the Galligreaves area of the town, when they were made aware of the modified bike.
The cyclist was “shocked” to see officers but police said they were more surprised to see the modified bike, which was “dangerous and not fit for the roads”.
The cyclist was reported for several motoring offences and the bike has been seized.
A police spokesperson said: “Tonight officers on residential foot patrol in the Galligreaves area have been made aware of a ‘cyclist’ with their new modifications.
“The ‘cyclist’ was shocked to see us, but not as shocked as we were as this is clearly dangerous and not fit for the roads.
“The ‘cyclist’ has been reported for several motoring offences and the bike has been seized.”
