A dog has been rescued by Lancashire Fire and Rescue after being stuck on a river island in Colne.
Swift water rescue technicians rescued Mikey, a black cocker spaniel, after he became stuck on an island in the middle of the river in Trawden earlier this week.
The dog is now safe.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Our swift water rescue technicians rescued a furry friend in need after he became stuck on an island in the middle of the river in Trawden earlier this week.
"We are glad to say that Mikey the dog is safe and sound and his wagging tail showed his gratitude."
