Buses have been rerouted in Rawtenstall after an obstructive vehicle and a water leak have been reported.
Police confirmed that there is heavy traffic on Haslingden Road as a parked vehicle is causing an obstruction near a blind bend in the road.
United Utilities are also investigating a leak on the road after homeowners reported having low or no water pressure.
At around 7.47am today (February 7), the team began investigating a problem in the area. At around 12pm a leak was discovered.
A spokesperson for United Utilities said: “Just to let you know, we’ve found the cause of no water or low pressure to be a leak on Haslingden Road.
“Now that we’ve identified the cause of the problem, our team will assess the issue and start the repair work shortly. Thank you for your patience.
“We’ll make sure to keep you fully updated on this page with any further information.”
Rosso, a bus company which operates buses in Rossendale, Bury, Rochdale and beyond, said it has had to reroute its buses.
The Irwell Line 481 and 464 buses are unable to reach any stops between Road End, Haslingden and Rawtenstall bus station in both directions.
The nearest stop is Rawtenstall bus station or Road End, Haslingden.
