In recent weeks, several storms have battered the UK including Lancashire and a homeowner noticed some guests entering their garden to take cover from Storm Jocelyn.

CCTV footage shows 12 sheep creeping down Mark Howarth’s driveway in the middle of the night as stormy conditions arrived.

The suburban semi-detached property in Edenfield seemed like a good place for the sheep to take cover from the night’s poor weather.

The flock of sheep can be seen standing by some outhouses and nibbling on grass before finally heading back out of the address when dawn broke around five hours later.

Mark Howarth said he first noticed something moving outside his property on Wednesday, January 24 at around 2.40am.

He decided to check the footage from his Ring doorbell cameras and was stunned to see that his back garden had become an area where several sheep were resting.

In the morning, Mark checked his cameras again and found that the sheep had trotted off at around 7.30am to “pastures news”.

He joked: “In total, I think there were 12 sheep, but I fell asleep after counting 12...!”
