Police are appealing for witnesses after reports that a woman was robbed in Preston.

Officers were called at 8.56pm, on Thursday, January 18, to reports of a robbery on Linnet Street.

The woman said she was in her car and had been pursued by three men, who were also in a car. She was said to be chased from New Hall Lane to Skeffington Road and to St George’s Road.

On Linnet Street it was reported that three men got out of the car, smashed the windows of the woman’s car and took her handbag.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses and footage after a woman was robbed in Preston.

“Our officers were called at 8.56pm on Thursday, 18th January, to Linnet Street, to a report of robbery.

“The victim was in her car and had been pursued by three men in a car from New Hall Lane to Skeffington Road and to St George’s Road.

“On Linnet Street, three men got out of the car pursuing, smashed the windows of the woman’s car, and took her handbag.

“We would like anyone who saw the pursuit and robbery to come forward. If anyone has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area, we’d like them to contact our officers.
