Three fire engines attended a fire in Great Harwood on Monday night (December 18).

At 10.37pm, three fire engines from Great Harwood, Hyndburn, and Blackburn attended the fire on Lyndon Avenue.

Firefighters spent one hour and 35 minutes tackling the blaze.

Fire crews treated one person at the scene before placing them in the care of the North West ambulance service.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 10.37pm, on December 18, three fire engines from Great Harwood, Hyndburn, and Blackburn attended a domestic building fire on Lyndon Avenue, Great Harwood.

“Firefighters treated one casualty at the scene before placing them in the care of North West Ambulance Service (NWAS). Crews were in attendance for an hour and thirty-five minutes”
