A man and a woman have been charged following a crash near Longridge.

The crash happened on Sunday (December 3) at around 2.15pm on Brabiner Lane, Whittingham.

Inguta Godaine, 28, of Whittingham Road, Longridge, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle above the alcohol limit.

She has been bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on March 13, 2024.

Kristaps Perkons, 32, of Hopwood Close, St Anne's, has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

He has been bailed to appear at the same court on March 15, 2024.

Police said both occupants of the BMW car were three times the legal alcohol limit, and neither would admit to being the driver.

A police spokesperson said: "Update on this one from yesterday. Both occupants were interviewed today (Monday). That's how long we had to wait until they were sober enough.

"Following investigations, a male has been charged with failing to provide a specimen, and a female with drink-drive offences."

Neither the man or the woman were injured in the crash.
