It looks like a glorious day in Blackburn town centre when this photo was taken in June 1994.
The flower beds on King William Street were in full bloom and there looks to be a fair number of shoppers out and about.
On the left you can see the entrance to British Home Stores with the tile-clad shopping centre car park on the right. The sight of the much-missed clock opposite Marks and Spencer will no doubt bring back a few memories for Looking Back readers.
Is this the Blackburn town centre you remember? If you have any photos of any East Lancashire town centre in years gone by we’d love to share them with Looking Back readers. Email them to bygones@nqnw.co.uk or leave a comment.
