A comedy showcase featuring Tez Ilyas will come to Blackburn as part of a UK wide tour next month.
Charity Human Appeal has announced the lineup for its ninth annual Comedy Takeover, which is set to take place in 17 venues across 10 towns and cities nationwide from December 15 to New Year's Eve.
This year, the tour will raise funds for Human Appeal’s Gaza emergency relief campaign.
Over the years tour has raised nearly £10 million to support a range of humanitarian relief efforts at home and abroad.
The tour will take place in Glasgow, Leeds, Bradford, Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester, Manchester, Luton, Slough and six locations across London.
It will come to Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers, on Sunday, December 17.
Tez Ilyas is joined by Azeem Muhammad, who takes part in the Comedy Takeover for the first time, Ali Official, best known for his BBC Three comedy Muzlamic, Aatif Nawaz and South Africa’s Riaad Moosa.
Zaheer Khan, director of fundraising at Human Appeal, said: “The Comedy Takeover tour is always one of Human Appeal’s most popular events in the UK, as it ends the year on a positive note even as the proceeds go to support people in urgent need of humanitarian relief.
"This year’s lineup is a brilliant mix of seasoned Takeover veterans alongside fresh faces providing a great evening out with something for everyone.”
