Music fans descended from across the country on to the Ribble Valley for this year’s Beat-Herder weekend.

The festival ran for four days in Sawley from Thursday (July 13) and culminated in a series of packed out shows on Sunday.

Despite the weather the event attracted thousands of people helping to make it one of the most successful events of its kind in the region.

The festival was first held in 2006 and features musicians from across the world as well as Lancashire.

Some of the acts playing included Alison Goldfrapp, Pendulum, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Eats Everything, Piri, Gok Wan, Panda & The Moniums, and DJ Boring.

Nick Chambers is a co-founder and one of the six festival directors.

He said: "The coming together for the Beat-Herder weekend is really special.

"We are blessed to have such a loyal family of followers who make the weekend what it is, they make the whole place their home, their town, for the weekend.

“Seeing the amazement on the faces of people discovering all our insane creations throughout the festival site we meticulously crafted is a priceless reward. Planning all the fun and whacky stuff all year is great too!"

Lancashire Telegraph:

Nick added: “We had a great start to the festival this year, welcoming back our big Beat-Herder family with open arms.

“Over the weekend, we had a massive array of acts across the 20+ venues - with Pendulum, Confidence Man and Alison Goldfrapp on the main stage."
