EACH week we love to shine the spotlight on some of the best places to go for some food and drink around East Lancashire.
This time we have headed to Colne to find out about the Hare and Hounds Inn and find out from the landlord Tom Davies about the reasons for their success and what they love about their venue in the Lancashire Telegraph Pub of the Week feature.

Give us some history of the place?
We’ve brought in a new chef who has 40+ years experience. Working all over the world at places such as the Hilton Group. We offer food theme nights once a month showcasing cuisines from around the world. We offer regular events through the week such as curry night on a Wednesday, trivia nights on a Thursday with cash prizes.
How long have you been the landlord/landlady for?
Had the Hare and Hounds for two and half years.

Steve, Jovi, Mel, Molly, Isobel, Harry, Matthew, Beth, Simon, Caine, Jackson to name a few.
Is food served? Is so what’s on the menu?
Yeah we serve food. A variety of dishes from pub classics: Fish & Chips, Mince and Onion Pies and Cheese and Onion Pie. Tapas: Duck Bon Bons, Cajun Salmon Bites and Japanese Vegetarian Gyoza’s - Grill: Mixed Grill, Gammon and Steak (to name a few)
Is there a beer garden
Yeah we have a suntrap of a beer garden as you can see from the photos

Madri is our most popular drink at the moment
Do you have an entertainment line-up?
We have live music and karaoke throughout the month. We also offer live SKY and BT Sports.
Have you faced any challenges within the industry?
The cost of living crisis is having a huge impact on the industry right now and we are also recovering from Covid. People don’t seem to drink and eat out as much as they once did.
