One of the world's leading Queen tribute bands is coming to East Lancashire.

Mercury will perform at St Mary’s Chambers in Rawtenstall on June 16.

Now celebrating their 20th anniversary, Mercury have established themselves as one of the world's most authentic tribute bands to Freddie Mercury and Queen.

The award-winning band, with its dynamic stage show, have been wowing audiences from the UK to Europe to Dubai.

Their stage show boasts spectacular and authentic costumes, high class production including dramatic lighting effects and an energetic performance, from Joseph Lee Jackson as Freddie Mercury, together with excellent musicianship, including beautifully crafted harmonies, and intricate guitar work from Glenn Scrimshaw as Brian May.

A St Mary’s Chambers spokesperson said: “Mercury are one of the best tributes to Queen in the world and currently tour large venues, theatres and festivals nationwide so we feel fortunate to host this the band here at our beautiful venue in Rossendale.

“The team here are huge fans of Queen and we believe Mercury recreate the look, sound and musicianship better than any other tribute out there.

“We are delighted to welcome the band to the venue and urge fellow Queen fans locally to come and be entertained by one of the best in the business.”

Mercury have headlined a New Year's Eve Festival in Dubai, which was broadcast live to millions via MTV Asia, and were also asked to perform at the unveiling of the first memorial to Freddie Mercury in Feltham, in front of Brian May and Freddie Mercury's family.

Doors open at 7pm and the show is due to start at 8pm.

The venue also has four VIP booths available for the show, which are very popular and are situated on a private balcony over-looking the stage.
