A queue formed as far as the eye could see when a free food handout, courtesy of the European Community was available in Blackburn in 1991.
Hundreds of pensioners and others eligible for the EEC surplus food - primarily butter - waited patiently in line outside the Zion Pentecostal Church on Wensley Road, one of the many distribution centres across East Lancashire.
Do you remember queuing for an EEC handout?
