Blackpool Zoo is looking for people to join its Visitor Services team as Seagull Deterrents.
Despite the zoo loving all things animals, it says the seagulls have been “proving to be a bit of a nuisance” with some attempting to steal food from visitors and even the enclosures where animals live.
Seagull Deterrents will need to help the zoo by keeping the birds away from its dining areas so visitors can enjoy their meals without having to keep a close eye on sneaky seagulls.
More information about the job role and the zoo can be found via the Blackpool Zoo website.
How to apply for the Seagull Deterrents jobs
Blackpool Zoo is looking for people who are visitor focussed, friendly, energetic, flexible and outgoing.
It’s important to know that successful candidates will need to wear a bird costume to deter the seagulls away.
There will be varying seasonal hours available with the job role and those who are interested in this unique job opportunity can email their cover letter to recruitment@blackpoolzoo.org.uk.
Good luck!
