A busy through road has re-opened following a car fire.
Police and emergency teams were called to Stanfield Street this afternoon (Thursday March 16) to deal with a blaze. The road was closed until fire teams made the area safe.
The front of the vehicle had been destroyed by the fire.
The car was removed by a recovery team and the road which links Wellington Road and Bank Top was reopened at 3.15pm.
