A beauty pagenant is coming to East Lancashire in July and a beauty queen from Wilpshire will be the host.
Miss Great Britain’s inaugural live Lancashire regional heat is coming to Stanley House Hotel in Mellor - and you can apply.
In the competition ladies from across Lancashire will battle it out for the Miss Great Britain Lancashire 2023 title and beauties across the region are still being asked to sign up.
This heat welcomes women from all backgrounds, with no restrictions on background, marital and parental status.
Eddison Emam, has been named as the host and new regional director for Miss Lancashire Great Britain.
Eddison, who owns Dressed Boutique in Samlesbury, has been competing in beauty pageants since she was a young teen.
She has had success at beauty pageants all over the country, claiming the title of Miss Great Britain Teen and representing Great Britain internationally where she placed in the competition’s top 10.
The former Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School pupil said: “I am so excited for this new opportunity, I can't wait to bring a little pocket of Miss Great Britain to Lancashire.
“If you are aged 18 upwards then get involved! It will be the best decision you ever make. You don't want to miss out on this.”
Before the event each of the girls will invest their time and effort into supporting the event's nominated charity, as well as promoting sponsors, working in their communities and on their passions all alongside helping to build the brand of Miss Great Britain Lancashire.
Before the big reveal, the contestants will take part in a one-to-one judges interview and showcase their fashion wear and evening gowns.
This year, Miss Great Britain Lancashire has chosen to support Chorley-based charity Derian House Children's Hospice alongside charity Alex's Wish.
More than £210,000 has so far been raised in recent years for charities through the Miss Great Britain finalists.
The winner of Miss Great Britain Lancashire will receive many prizes including:
- A new gown to wear at the Miss Great Britain finals from Dressed Boutique
- Sparkly official regional winner crown and sash
- Free entry into official Miss Great Britain finals
- Two nights’ accommodation and meals paid for during Miss GB national finals
- A spa experience at Stanley House Spa
- Beauty treatments in preparation for the Miss Great Britain finals from Azaleas Nails and Beauty
- Portfolio shoot day with hair and makeup for official Miss GB headshots
- Afternoon tea for two at Stanley House Hotel & Spa
- Coaching with a pageant coach
- A pair of Diverse Style heels to wear on stage at Miss Great Britain
- And a cash prize
Miss Lancashire will take place on July 9 at Stanley House Hotel.
The show will begin at 7pm on July 9 and will be followed by a VIP after party where all ticket profits will be given directly to Derian House.
The National Final of the Miss Great Britain competition will then take place on Friday, October 20, at the Athena in Leicester.
