A man in his 60s has died after collapsing behind the wheel of his car.
Emergency services were called to Spring Lane in Samlesbury yesterday (December 7), just after 5.20pm.
A man in his 60s had collapsed behind the wheel and was taken to hospital where he later died.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We were called to Spring Lane, Samlesbury, at 5.22pm yesterday (December 7) to reports a man in his 60s had collapsed behind the wheel.
“He was taken to hospital where he sadly died.
“Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this distressing time.”
The incident caused a build up of traffic on the A59, a major link road between Blackburn and Preston.
