Motorists were facing delays on the M6 following a vehicle fire.
Police and the fire service were called to the incident on the M6 southbound between junctions 33 and 32 early this afternoon.
Drivers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes on the carriageway heading towards Preston and Blackburn. Normal traffic conditions were expected at around 7pm.
UPDATE - Lanes 2 and 3 are now OPEN on the #M6 southbound between J33 #Lancaster and J32 #Preston due to a vehicle fire.

Lane 1 remains closed for fire service to continue to work at scene.
