The new series of a Netflix show, starring Ribble Valley actor Lucien Laviscount, will air in December.

Emily in Paris season three will return to our screens on December 21 and Lucien is set to play a major role.

The show is centred on marketing executive Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, who is hired to provide an American perspective at a marketing firm in Paris.

Lucien, a former Ribblesdale High School pupil, plays Emily’s love interest, Alfie, a British expat who she met in French class.

When he appeared in season two fans quickly fell in love with Lucien’s character and begged for his return in season three.

In April he was promoted to a series regular by the show’s executive producer, Darren Star.

A teaser trailer has since been release for season three and Lucien makes a brief debut as Alfie.

One year after moving from Chicago to Paris for her dream job, Emily finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life.

Faced with two very different paths, Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie, at work and in her romantic life, and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.

It is not the first time that the former Ribblesdale High School and Clitheroe Royal Grammar Sixth Form pupil has been on our screens.

At age 10, he landed a modelling campaign with Marks and Spencer, which he shot alongside David Beckham.

He starred in several TV series and soaps between 2007 and 2011, including Grange Hill, Coronation Street and Waterloo Road.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph in 2006, Lucien said: “Hopefully I will be in Grange Hill for a few years and after that I want to get into films.

“I would love to make it big in America or Britain."

Back in 2011 he also landed a place in Celebrity Big Brother and came fifth overall. In the reality show, he made headlines for his persistent flirting with The Only Way is Essex's Amy Childs.

He has also branched out into the world of American dramas, starring as Earl Grey in Fox’s Scream Queens and Alexander Caboot in Katy Keene.

Emily in Paris season three will air on Netflix on December 21.
