Aspiring actors are being offered the scariest gig of their lives at an event which requires performers to scare people.

Oswaldtwistle Civic Arts Centre and Theatre is looking for some brave souls to play zombies at a Halloween event this weekend.

On Saturday (October 29), the theatre is hosting a ‘Zombie Takeover’ at their Halloween Frightful Fun Festival in Accrington Town Square.

Organisers are looking for around fifty performers to help make the interactive horror come to life.

No experience is necessary as full training will be given to the chosen ones. The job is for one night only and is a paid acting opportunity.

Halloween is just around the corner so there will be minimal rehearsals but everything, from costumes to makeup, will be provided

The Zombie Takeover will start at 7pm and finish at 8.30pm.

An arts and crafts event will also be held at the Halloween Frightful Fun Festival on the same day.

From 4.30pm to 7pm, arts and crafts, performances, story times and activities for families will be available for free.

A parade around Accrington will begin at 4.30pm at the Town Square.

Oswaldtwistle Arts Centre and Theatre on Union Road is a cultural venue for all forms of arts including dance, drama, music, musical theatre, singing, crafts, photography and much more.
